Albion College Visit (Closed Event)

As part of our Soft Diplomacy – School Visit initiative, the Embassy will host Albion College, a private liberal arts college located in Albion, Michigan for a visit at the Embassy. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, it was founded in 1835 and was the first private college in Michigan to have a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
This educational initiative is designed to offer schools at all grade levels and universities an opportunity to re-discover Haiti and learn more about its rich history and culture through a presentation and guided tour of the renovated historic Chancery. The visits take different forms, tailored to the dynamic, grade level and curriculum of the group. They may range from a formal presentation by a key member of the Washington community to an informal treasure hunt!
