Build Haiti Foundation Gala – A Celebration of Columbia’s 50th Anniversary

The Build Haiti Foundation cordially invites you to their annual gala to celebrate Columbia’s 50th Birthday Celebration on Sunday, June 11, 5-8 p.m. This fundraiser offers a Taste of Haiti, followed by a Haitian Art exhibit and performances in Smith Theatre.

The event is an opportunity to enjoy ravishing culinary treats from the island by sampling the cuisine. Treats include tropical fruit cocktail, Haitian coffee and delicious ice cream made with cocoa beans and other ingredients sourced from Cap-Haitien, Columbia’s newest sister city. Taste of Haiti will be followed by Broadway-level talent from New York City – Buyu and the Blues in Red Band Jazz quartet, KANU Dance Theater, and Pauline Jean, a Creole jazz vocalist. Funds raised at the event go toward supporting the Build Haiti Foundation’s philanthropic efforts and development programs in Haiti.
