cultural_paintingThe Cultural Section of the Haitian Embassy in Washington, DC seeks to promote a greater understanding of Haiti’s history and an appreciation of its cultural and artistic contributions. In fact, Haiti’s art remains its greatest ambassador and a key vehicle for economic development. Haiti's cuisine, art, festivals, literature, and music have fascinated many and our literature, visual art, and music are acclaimed worldwide.

The Cultural Section helps connect, preserve and promote Haitian art and culture and serve as a link to our cultural institutions and practices. The Cultural Section also assists in obtaining information on the education system in Haiti.


Our staff aims to serve the Haitian community of the United States as well as anyone seeking to visit Haiti or looking for additional information Haiti. Each year the Cultural Section sponsors activities and events serving the Haitian community in the United States, or targeting Haiti’s social development. The Embassy also opens its doors to events promoting our rich culture with visitors seeking to learn more about our country.
