Joining development experts from around the globe, Ambassador Paul G. Altidor speaks in Boston at Massachusetts Institute of Technology about opportunities and challenges in Haiti’s redevelopment.
The conference: “Unconventional Wisdom: Learning in International Development Practice,” the second annual gathering of the International Development Group runs May 2 and 3.
The meeting will include breakout sessions focusing on Haiti, Chile and the use of technology to address obstacles. Another topic at the conference is “Fruitful Failures: How Practitioners Learn and Innovate from Mistakes,” which features speakers from Liberia, Australia and Colombia. Other speakers include Aníbal Gaviria Correa, mayor of Medellín, Colombia; Ciro Biderman, the mayor of Sao Paulo, Brazil as well as representatives from the World Bank Group, USAID and the Inter-American Development Bank.
