FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 14, 2013
Washington, D.C. – The New York Daily News published an article, “A court ruling to strip Dominican Republic-born Haitians of citizenship will be challenged by demonstrators outside the Caribbean nation’s consulate in midtown this week”, on Sunday, October 13, 2013. The author erroneously listed Ms. Arielle Dominique of the Embassy of Haiti in the U.S. as the contact person for the demonstration being planned to take place in front of the Dominican Republic Consulate in New York.
Note that neither the Embassy of Haiti, nor its staff are involved in the planning of this protest. The use of the name or title of a staff member at the Haitian Embassy is completely unauthorized and incorrect.
