On Tuesday, March 11, Ambassador Altidor welcomed the members of AAREP, African American Real Estate Professionals – Washington, DC Chapter to the Embassy for a networking reception. The first in a series of events designed to expose AAREP members to the rich history and culture of Haiti as well as business development opportunities.
The Ambassador delivered a strong and clear message about Haiti’s economic environment and business opportunities. In his comments, he highlighted the power of connection as an important tool for Haiti’s diplomacy. “Haiti has a rich culture but very few people get to know it or experience it. Come discover or rediscover this Haiti you’ve been hearing about.”
AAREP is the premier trade association representing people of color in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Our membership is comprised of companies and individuals in a variety of disciplines including Brokers, Developers, Construction, Design, Finance and Law. Their mission is to advance economic livelihood of African American commercial real estate professionals.
The event was one in a series being hosted by the Embassy of Haiti in Washington, D.C. to further its objective of presenting different perspectives of the country and of Haitian culture.
