Tourist Visa

Generally speaking, tourists traveling to Haiti do not need a visa to enter the country. Their passports must be valid for at least 6 months, and they must pay a fee of US$ 10.00 on arrival at the airport.

However, nationals of the following countries require a visa to enter Haiti: Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Yemen.
Nationals of these 9 countries (Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran and Vietnam) must apply for a visa at least one (1) month before the date of departure, and provide the following supporting documents:

  1. Visa application form duly completed and signed;
  2. Two (2) recent color passport photos;
  3. Letter explaining the purpose and duration of the stay, and providing the following information:
    a. Name, address and telephone number of the hotel or private home where they will be staying in Haiti;
    b. Valid passport (at least 6 months);
    c. Photocopy of airline reservation confirmation or round-trip ticket; and
    d. Letter from current employer.

Fees must be paid by money order, certified check or cashier’s check payable to “Embassy of Haiti in Washington”.

D’une manière générale, les touristes voyageant en Haïti n’ont pas besoin de visa d’entrée. Leurs passeports doivent être valides pour 6 mois au moins et ils doivent s’acquitter d’une taxe de US$ 10.00 à leur arrivée à l’aéroport.
Cependant, les ressortissants des pays suivants ont besoin d’un visa pour entrer en Haïti : République Dominicaine, Panama, Colombie, Cuba, Syrie, Libye, Iran, Vietnam et Yémen.
Les ressortissants de ces 9 pays susmentionnés (République Dominicaine, Panama, Colombie, Cuba, Syrie, Libye, Iran et Vietnam) qui ont besoin d’un visa doivent en faire la demande au moins un (1) mois avant la date de leur départ et fournir les documents justificatifs suivants :

  1. Formulaire de demande de visa dûment complété et signé ;
  2. Deux (2) photos passeport récentes en couleur ;
  3. Lettre expliquant la raison et la durée du séjour, et fournissant les informations suivantes :
    a. Nom, adresse et téléphone de l’hôtel ou de la maison privée où elles vont habiter pendant leur séjour en Haïti ;
    b. Passeport en cours de validité (au moins pour 6 mois) ;
    c. Photocopie de la confirmation de réservation d’avion ou du billet aller-retour ; et
    d. Lettre de l’actuel employeur

Les frais doivent être payés par mandat, chèque certifié ou chèque de banque à l’ordre de « Embassy of Haiti in Washington ».

    c. Fotokopi konfimasyon rezèvasyon oswa tikè avyon ale/retou ;
    d. Lèt kote li ap travay aktyèlman.
